Blackman’s soccer team improved to 6-0 with a 3-1 win over Columbia Tuesday night.

Megan Woods scored two goals and Kayla Reynolds had one. Lauren Woods had two assists.The Lady Blaze host Franklin Count on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Sierra Franz had three goals and Kristin Wattenbarger had one. Haley Munn had seven savesf for Smyrna, which improved to 4-0-1.

The Lady Cougars won 25-15, 26-24, 21-25, 25-20. Jena Bartilson had a career-high 35 digs, Rachel Mullen had 20 assists, Meredith McKnight had four bloacks, Devan Welker had 15 kills and seven aces and McKenzie McKnight had 13 kills and six aces.

Franklin Road Christian improved to 7-3 this season with a 5-17, 20-25, 25-12, 25-11 match win.

The Lady Tigers fell to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in district play. Savannah Berry led Central with three goals and Hannah Cagle had one. Paige Garrison had 10 saves and McKenzie Abernathy had eight.

Colton Miller shot 38 to lead the Tigers, followed by Luke Adams (41), Jordan Reynolds (43) and Logan Reynolds (43). In girls play, Abbey Burgdorf led Central with 39.

Tanner Owenbs and Alex Burton led Blackman with a 36, Spencer Hutchins shot 45 and Andrew Davis shot 46. Jared Prater led La Vergne wit ha 42, and Max Thompson led Smyrna with a 48.

Barron Corley led MTCS with a 38, Trey Lashlee and Joe Warner shot 46, and Ian Harper, Ben Brown and Ian Gregory shot 48.

Rico Jones rushed for two touchdowns and pass for another, and Cody Miller had 56 yards passing for the Chargers. Oakland (3-0) plays Rockvale on Tuesday.

Preston Barge threw for yards and a touchdown and rushed for 20 yards and a scoore. La’zarius Patterson rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown, Sidney Bell had a TD reception and Johnathan Mathews had three fumble recoveries.
