Coaches: Deptford: Mike Blackinston (2nd year, 5-7); Delsea: Sal Marchese (20th year, 145-55-1).

Last week:
Delsea suffered its first loss of the season, a heartbreaking 31-28 defeat to a strong Moorestown team. Senior quarterback Josh Awotunde was superb, throwing for a pair of touchdowns and running for another, but he was sacked with nine seconds left in the game, ending a comeback bid. … Deptford is coming off a 39-0 loss to Kingsway in which the Spartans allowed Kingsway’s Ray Lawry to rush for 309 yards and four touchdowns on 22 carries.

Ocean City (0-2) at Bridgeton (1-1)

When: 7 tonight

Where: Jim Hursey Memorial Stadium, 111. N. West Avenue, Bridgeton, 08302

Coaches: Ocean City: Kevin Smith (2nd year, 2-10); Bridgeton: Dave Ellen (13th year, 75-71).

Last week: The Bulldogs got a taste of Cedar Creek’s Georgia Tech-bound quarterback Damon Mitchell and didn’t like it one bit. Mitchell torched the Bridgeton defense to the tune of 244 yards through the air and another 90 on the ground in a 35-6 Pirate victory. Sophomore running back Stefon Bowman led the Bulldogs with 75 rushing yards on 17 carries. … Ocean City suffered its second straight loss with a 27-12 setback against Buena. The Red Raiders had turnover issues for the second straight week, giving the ball away three times.

Schalick (1-1) vs. Highland (1-1)

When: 7 tonight

Where: 718 Centerton Road, Pittsgrove, 08318

Coaches: Schalick: Seth Brown (9th year, 7-4); Highland: Craig Stinson (4th year, 10-22).

Last week: The Cougars dropped their first game of the year in their second trip to Gloucester High School in as many weeks. After disposing of Gloucester Catholic in Week 1, Schalick fell to the Lions, 33-13, last week. The Cougars had two touchdowns through the air, with Melvin Allen grabbing a pair of passes for scores from quarterback Jarred McCafferty. … Highland rolled past winless Woodrow Wilson 35-6 in Week 2, but allowed more than 200 yards of offense. The Tartans recorded two interceptions in the win.

Cumberland (0-2) at Bishop Eustace (2-0)

When: 7 tonight

Where: 5552 Route 70, Pennsauken 08109

Coaches: Cumberland: Tom Lake (7th year, 27-35); Bishop Eustace: Rob Cormier (6th year, 27-26)

Last week: The Colts are still searching for their first win after a 21-20 loss to Cherry Hill West. Running back De’Han Milledge was tackled on the 1-yard line on a two-point conversion attempt that would have given the Colts the victory late in the game. Instead, they will try to put a notch in the win column against an unbeaten Eustace squad. … The Crusaders got by Gloucester Catholic 14-6 after trailing early in the game. Eustace led 7-6 at the half with a 60-yard touchdown pass from Connor Bor to Sam Steele and put the game away with a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
