ZANESVILLE — A strong defensive effort and timely scoring was enough for Zanesville in a 2-0 win over host West Muskingum in girls soccer action Saturday.
Madison Baldwin and Dani Weekley had goals for the Lady Devils, who posted their eighth shutout of the season.
The game was also part of West Muskingum’s ‘Kick for the Cure.’ ZHS coach Todd Riley was happy to be a part of the occasion.
“We always like to go out and help West Muskingum with its ‘Kick for the Cure’ game,” Riley said. “They do such a great job organizing the event and hopefully the money raised with find the cure for cancer.”
