The Blue Division slate on day two of the Greenwood Blue and Gold Tournament started like many have in recent past: With a Nixa blowout.

The top-seeded Eagles topped No. 8 Glendale 76-28 behind a balanced effort, which was led by Missouri State-bound senior Austin Ruder, who had 13 points.

In six games before noon in the last three Blue and Gold tournaments, Nixa has outscored opponents 515-241 (for an average of 85.8-40.2.).

Garrett Skipworth had seven points to lead Glendale.

Undefeated Nixa will play at 4 p.m. on Friday in the Blue semifinal against West Plains.

West Plains topped Crane 72-56 in the second game, behind some hot shooting.

Justin Davis led fourth-seeded West Plains with 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting from 3-point range.

Seventh-seeded Ozark topped Strafford, the second seed, 65-58 to move to the semifinal.

Strafford (9-2) made a furious comeback, scoring eight points in less than 30 seconds to bring the deficit to 61-58 with less than 2 minutes to play.

However, the Tigers iced the game at the free-throw line.

Brett Krisik had 24 points, and Jakob Neidig had 11 points and eight steals for Ozark.

In the finale, sixth-seeded Mount Vernon topped third-seeded Rogersville 80-62.

Chandler Myers led the Mountaineers with 15 points, all in the first half. Senior Shane Williams had 19 points, including a dunk in the fourth quarter. Sophomore Luke Call had a game-high 21 points for Mount Vernon.

Ozark will play Mount Vernon at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the second Blue semifinal.
