MASSILLON — A judge set bond at $2 million for a Jackson Township coach charged with placing video recording devices in a boys’ locker room turned toward the shower area.

Scott D. Studer, 46, faces eight counts of the illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material. He’s being held in the Stark County Jail.

Police say the cameras were placed in the locker room over an eight-year period. A search of Studer’s home led to authorities confiscating a DVD, flash drive and laptop computer.

Studer has been a coach for more than two decades. He has resigned his position with the district and his coaching job.

Parents, some of them angry, met with officials on Wednesday.
