Boys soccer: Jack Connors leads Bronxville to Broncofest crown: more results

Tournament MVP Jack Connors stopped seven shots to lead host Bronxville to a 1-0 win over Valhalla and the Broncofest tournament title Saturday.

Mike Crawford had the lone goal from about 25 yards out in the first half. Alex Briganti had seven saves for Valhalla.

Beacon 3, Kennedy 1: At Kennedy, Gareth Esteves scored on a pass from Mike Donnelly for Kennedy.

Irvington 1, New Rochelle 0: At Irvington, Ben Ovetsky scored the goal. Sam Farman had an assist. Matej Sis made 10 saves. Luis Pena had six saves for New Rochelle.

Mahopac 2, Ketcham 1, OT: At Ketcham, Joseph Iraola scored two minutes into overtime. David Kalaj also scored for Mahopac. Mike Bernardi had six saves.

North Rockland 1, Suffern 0: At Suffern Middle School, Pat Dentico scored off an assist from Will Lopez. Nathan Ryan (six saves) and Max Gilberg combined to make 10 saves for the Mounties.

Horace Mann 2, Hackley 1: At Hackley, Levi Morant scored in the loss.

Horace Greeley 4, North Salem 3: At North Salem, Josh Perlmutter, Josh Kogan, Blake Davis and Ben Factor scored for the Quakers in the first half. Tom Cole scored twice for the Tigers. Miguel Tunas also scored.

Yorktown 1, Lourdes 0: At Yorktown, Luke Saljanin scored off an assist from Jesus Hernandez for the ‘Huskers. Jacob Braham made 13 saves.

Rye Neck 4, Tuckahoe 0: In the consolation game of the Broncofest Tournament at Bronxville, Takuno Nishimura went on a second-half tear, scoring all four Panthers goals. Tuckahoe’s Bruno Destafano had 11 saves.

Cheshire Academy 1, Rye Country Day 1: At RCDS, Paul Leake scored for the Wildcats. Andres Soto had an assist. Michael Farber made six saves.

John Jay 1, Carmel 1: At Carmel, the host Rams tied the game in the second half on a goal by Austin Mayhew. Diogo Antunes scored for the Indians in the first half. Ederson Medina had eight saves for Carmel. John Jay’s Cameron Halby stopped 15 shots.

Nyack 3, Albertus Magnus 0: At Nyack, Tyler Yassky and Anders Fleming each had a goal and an assist. Jon Rizner had seven saves for the shutout.
