Boys soccer roundup: Ashwaubenon edges New London as season opens

NEW LONDON – Jon Gregory scored two goals and Jesse Zipperer added a goal as Ashwaubenon edged New London 3-2 in a season-opening boys soccer game on Tuesday.

Zach Jisa had six saves and Jonathan Baron had an assist for the Jaguars.

De Pere 1,
Appleton West 0, OT

APPLETON – Jimmy Franken scored the game-winning goal at the 5-minute mark of overtime as De Pere outshot Appleton West 25-2 in the win.

Michael Piette had an assist and James Deidrick had two saves for the Redbirds.

Green Bay East 5, D.C. Everest 0

Alex Rodriguez had four saves to get the shutout in goal as host Green Bay East outshot D.C. Everest 15-6 in the win.

Emmanuel Sanchez, Tyler Jones, Bailey Watermolen, Fernando Mejia and David Gomez each scored and Rafael Sanchez had an assist.

Pulaski 1,
Appleton East 0

APPLETON – Ian Duke scored the game’s only goal in the 60th minute and Ryan Hansen had an assist to lead Pulaski in its first game of the season.

Logan Vandenhouten made two saves to get the win in goal.

Bay Port 4,
Seymour 0

SEYMOUR – Jake Laubenstein scored a pair of goals as Bay Port opened the season with a road win.

Thomas Clemens and Dakota White each scored once, Dillon Pallex and Will Seehawer combined for seven saves and Ethan Kenney had two saves for the Pirates,

Alex Bloom had 12 saves for the Thunder.

West De Pere 2, Kaukuana 0

KAUKAUNA – Osvaldo Ramirez had a goal and an assist to lead West De Pere.

Baldemar Ramirez added a goal and Shawn Prokash made 10 saves for the Phantoms.

Peshtigo 5, Kewaunee 1

KEWAUNEE – Adam Halada scored the only goal for Kewaunee in the loss.
