Defending champion Bridgewater-Raritan was awarded the top seed in the Somerset County Field Hockey Tournament at Tuesday evening’s seeding meeting of the coaches. Pingry, which Bridgewater-Raritan defeated 5-0 on Monday, is the second seed. Bridgewater-Raritan has defeated Bernards in the last four SCT finals.
The first round is set for this Saturday, with all games to be played at 2 p.m. The quarterfinals are on Oct. 6 and the semifinals are slated for Oct. 13, all to be played at the higher seed. The final is Oct. 20 at Mount St. Mary’s Angels of Victory Field at 2 p.m.
9-Franklin at 8-Somerville, winner at 1-Bridgewater-Raritan. 5-Ridge at 4-Bernards. 11-North Plainfield at 6-Hillsborough, winner at 3-Montgomery. 10-Mount St. Mary at 7-Watchung Hills, winner at 2-Pingry.
