A week after dropping in the Michigan Associated Press Prep Football Poll, Climax-Scotts is making its way back up.
The Panthers improved to 7-0 on the season following a win over Bellevue, helping C-S jump two spots to No. 8 in Division 8 in the poll released Tuesday. C-S will try to keep its perfect season intact when it visits White Piegon on Friday for a non-conference matchup.
Pennfield defeated Olivet to improve to 6-1, but still slipped one spot to No. 7 in the Division 4 poll. The Panthers visit Kalamazoo Christian on Friday in a Kalamazoo Valley Association contest.
Union City suffered a big loss to Jonesville to fall to 5-2 on the season and lose their Division 7 ranking. The Chargers are just outside of the top 10 after receiving votes for the poll, and will try to clinch a playoff berth on Friday with a visit to Reading for a Big Eight game.
The Michigan High School Athletic Association has determined playoff qualifiers in eight divisions based on enrollment. The divisions the poll are unofficial.
