Campbellsport soccer puts two on EWC first team


After taking fourth place in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference, the Campbellsport boys soccer team was represented on the All-EWC first team by two players.

Lupe Salinas was selected from the back line for the Cougars shut out six of their final nine EWC matches.

Campbellsport’s other selection was senior midfielder Kam Sippel, who led the team with eight assists. The team’s leading scorer Joe Casper (14 goals) was Campbellsport’s lone second-team pick joining Waupun midfielder Jason Roecker and forward Cole Lemmenes.

Defenders: Eric Majerus, So. Plymouth; Lupe Salinas, Jr. Campbellsport; Nate Neili, Jr. Sheboygan Falls.

Midfielders: Tyler Shallow, Sr. Two Rivers; Caleb Ebbers, Sr. Sheboygan Falls; Kam Sippel, Sr. Campbellsport; Cody Babler, Sr. Plymouth.

Forwards: Jimmy Jens, Jr. Sheboygan Falls; Cameron Green, Sr. Two Rivers; Jack Heginbottom, So. Plymouth.

Goalie: Drew Schweiger, So. Plymouth
