The Christian Brothers Academy cross country team fell short of winning their second consecutive Nike Cross National title on Saturday afternoon in Portland, Oregon.

Billy Bragg, Jack Boyle, Josh Kruppa, Mike McClemens Tom Rooney, Francis Bogan, and Aaron Liberatore settled for a fourth place finish with 167 points well behind Arcadia with 108, American Fork 122, and North Spokane with 146.

The Colts ran an average time of 18:10 with Billy Bragg running the fastest for the team finishing in 17:44, followed by Jack Boyle 17:45, Josh Kruppa 18:16, and Mike McClemens who clocked in at 18:23.

Last year, the Colts won their first Nike Cross Nationals title with a meet record of 91 points, and an average time of 16:00. The Colts were without graduated seniors George Kelly and Tim Gorman who were a big part of their winning team last year.
