Ceniceros, James, Campbell named to first-team All-FVA

Oshkosh North midfielder Oscar Ceniceros was one of three juniors named to the all-Fox Valley Association Soccer first team announced recently.

Ceniceros, who helped the Spartans to a WIAA Division 1 sectional berth, was one of eight midfielders named to the 15-member first team.

Oshkosh West seniors Luke James, a midfielder, and Zac Campbell, a defender were also named to the first team.

Neenah and Appleton North each led the conference with four first-team selections, while Kimberly and Oshkosh West were next with two each.

The Wildcats’ John Yang and the Spartans’ Zach Knoll garnered second-team honors, while Simon Knudtson and Tyler Leach of West and Max Zellmer and Chufai Thao were named on the honorable mention list.

Omro’s Isaac Reyes was one of six unanimous selections to the all-Flyway Conference first team which was released recently.

Reyes, a senior, was the lone Omro selection on the 12-member first team. The other unanimous selections were Jacob Schraufnagel and Aaron Markgraf of Winnebago Lutheran, Luke Jansen and Cody Zonnefeld of Central Wisconsin Christian and Danny Alelandre of St. Lawrence Seminary.

Jansen was named the conference Player of the Year.

Omro seniors Dylan Tritt and Joe Weit were named to the second team, while Foxes also had junior Alex O’Connell named to the honorable mention list.

Valley Christian/Lourdes Academy’s Corey Beecher was the Warrior Knights’ lone honoree earning honorable mention honors.

Winneconne’s potent scoring tandem of Calvin LaDue and Jack Lines garnered two spots on the all-Eastern Valley Conference Soccer first team that was announced earlier this week.

LaDue and Lines were the only local selections on the 11-member first team.

Ripon midfielder Irvin Hernandez earned a spot on the second team, while Winneconne’s Chris Boehnlein and Alex Barthel, Ripon’s Brady Erickson and Travis Nummerdor and Berlin’s Bryce Dretske were third-team selections.

Xavier’s Austin Weigman was named Offensive Player of the Year in the league, while teammate Seth Maertz was the Defensive Player of the Year.
