The Central Magnet soccer team improved to 9-4 overall and 6-1 in District 8 play on Tuesday with a 6-0 win over Jackson County.
Shannon Miller scored one goal, while Savannah Berry, Rachel Woods, Kim Warren and Madison McConnell scored one each for Central.
Lauren Keller had two assists, Hannah Cagle had one assist and Paige Garrison had one save.
Ashlynd Wilkerson, Erin Jennings and Emily Brandon scored for MTCS, while Lauren Jennings, Mallory Bowman and Emma Stinson each had assists. Leah Stinson had two saves.
Kayla Taylor scored the winning goal for the Lady Blaze, and Robin Bolme recorded the shutout.
The Lady Cougars defeated Lancaster Christian 25-20, 25-13, 25-20
Rachel Mullen 30 had assists, Devan Welker had eight aces and eight kills, Jena Bartilson had 13 digs, Ashley Sadler had 10 kills and two blocks, and McKenzie McKnight had 14 digs and eight kills.
The Chargers improved to 7-0 on the season. Rico Jones had touchdown runs of 53 and 38yards and gained 123 overall on just seven carries.
Devante Harrie scored first for Oakland on a 65-yard interception return, but Rock Springs tied in at 6-6 on a Johnny Waters 7-yard run. Jones answered with the first of his two TDs, and Matthew Harris scored on a 2-yard run before Jones added his final touchdown.
Oakland faces Christiana on Oct. 20 for the league championship.
La’Zarius Patterson rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns, and quarterback Preston Barge threw for 130 yards and a TD and rushed for 80 yards and a TD.
Jonathan Mathews had 65 yards receiving and a touchdown, Spencer Childress rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown, and Gentry Bonds had 35 yards receiving and an interception.
Christiana (7-1) faces Oakland in the championship game on Oct. 20.
