Entering the game averaging 40 points a game, Pomona (3-1) scored on their opening drive when Konnor Burns broke a nine yard touchdown run.
Chaparral (4-0) dominated the rest of the half. Max Kuhns threw three first half touchdown passes to Brandon Malone. Pomona quarterback Alec Feland also threw a pair of interceptions in the second quarter before being knocked out of the game after taking a shot to the head.
The Wolverines went up 28-7 in the third quarter before Pomona came alive. The Panthers pulled to within five and had a chance to take the lead late in the fourth, but were stuffed on a fourth and inches on their final possession.
Chaparral will look to remain perfect when they host Highlands Ranch in Continental League play next Friday night. Pomona opens North Metro play at Boulder.
