Chaparral takes top spot in football rankings

By

There is a new leader at the top of the 5A Denver Post Football Poll. Chaparral is the new No. 1 after beating then-No. 1 Pomona on Friday night. It is the first time in school history that Chaparral has been ranked No. 1. Chaparral defeated Rocky Mountain earlier this year.

The 4A poll saw the top-four remain the same, with Wheat Ridge holding the top spot. Windsor, despite winning 41-8 over Thompson Valley, dropped one spot to No. 7.
