Trinity Lutheran outlasted host Christian Academy 27-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-11 Tuesday night in a Class A high school volleyball regional match.
The Cougars (32-4) spurted to a 10-3 lead in the fourth set and fended off the Warriors (24-6) the rest of the way.
Trinity Lutheran (32-4) will meet Hauser in Saturday’s 11 a.m. semifinal at the Loogootee Semistate.
Class 4-A: Columbus East and Seymour won their respective matches and advanced to Saturday’s semistate at Seymour.
Seymour, which beat Castle 25-13, 25-8, 25-11, will host Indianapolis Cathedral in Saturday’s first match, at 11 a.m. Columbus East, which beat Center Grove 25-19, 25-20, 25-13, will play Avon in Saturday’s second semifinal.
Class 3-A: Brownstown defeated visiting Batesville 25-14, 25-15, 25-19. The Braves advanced to Saturday’s Jasper semistate and will play Indianapolis Chatard in an 11 a.m. semifinal.
