The Grand Ledge men’s varsity swimming and diving team continued their hot start this season by notching wins over Eaton Rapids and St. Johns.

Against Eaton Rapids, the team was dominant from start to finish as the Comets won all but three events en route to a 113-71 win. Sophomore Jacob Fillingham and junior Owen Soulliere combined to achieve a 1-2 place finish in the 50 Freestyle.

Juniors Xinghao Wang and Tommy Sereseroz were both double winners as Wang claimed the 200 and 500 Freestyle and Sereseroz captured the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly.

The team was next in action against traditional area power St. Johns. The team jumped out to a quick lead as they were able to grab the top three spots in the first two individual events of the evening and rolled to a 120-66 win.

First in the 200 Freestyle, Tommy Sereseroz, Greg DeWitt and Troy Anderson placed first, second and third. In the 200 IM, the order of finish included Jacob Fillingham (first), Justin Maidlow (second) and Adam DeYoung (third).

Senior captains Greg DeWitt and Evan Ilieff each chipped in by winning the 500 Free and 50 Free respectively. Also securing important points for the team was senior diver Cam Wessels, who placed third and scored a career high 197.10.
