The sophomore quarterback rushed for five touchdowns, including an 80-yard scamper late in the first quarter. Conway added two passing touchdowns.
Down 14 after the first quarter, Poudre (1-3) came back and pulled to within three points after an 87-yard kickoff return touchdown by Spencer Long. The Impalas forced Overland (3-1) to punt on the ensuing Trailblazer possession, but Poudre immediately fumbled the ball back. Conway connected with Mallan Robinson on a 25-yard touchdown pass moments later.
Another Poudre turnover followed, leading to a short Conway touchdown run that gave Overland a 30-14 halftime lead.
Overland opens Centennial League play next Thursday at Cherry Creek. Poudre opens Front Range conference play next Friday against city rival Rocky Mountain.
