The Coshocton boys and girls swim teams outscored everyone but Dover in the 16-team River View Invitational on Saturday at Coshocton High School.
The Tornadoes beat the runner-up Redskins 102-58 for the boys title, and Dover won 92-69 in the girls event against Coshocton.
River View placed third in the boys race (36) and fourth in the girls race (18).
Marc Smith claimed the 200 freestyle (2:17) and was second in the 100 back (1:11.17), and he was part of the winning 400 free relay (4:13) with Jacob Blank, Bryce Philabaum and Alex Wheeler to pace the Coshocton boys.
Smith, Wheeler, Philabaum and Cody McVay came in second in the 200 medley relay (2:10); Blank, McVay, Corbin Coffman and Nathan Lain were third in the 200 free relay (2:00); Wheeler was second in the 100 butterfly (1:07.7) and third in the 200 individual medley (2:34); McVay took fifth in the 100 fly (1:20.5) and Philabaum was fifth in the 100 backstroke (1:13.27) for Coshocton.
All three of Coshocton’s girls relays placed in the top three. Savannah Brown, Casey Fortney, Jacqueline Roman and Emily Baker were second in the 200 free relay (2:10.4); Brown, Emily Simpson, Hannah Ringenberg and Kaitlyn Salmans were third in the 200 medley relay (2:22); and Salmans, Simpson, Ringenberg and Baker came in second in the 400 free (4:39).
Baker won the 100 free (1:04.2) and came in second in the 200 free (2:19); Savannah Brown was second in the 200 IM (2:58) and third in the 100 back (1:23); Ringenberg added seconds in the 100 fly (1:15.5) and 100 breaststroke (1:24.8); Georgia Brown added fifths in the 200 IM (3:11) and 100 breast (1:32); and Simpson was fifth in the 500 free (6:50) for the Coshocton girls.
Lydia Els won the 200 free (2:18.5) and 500 free (6:16), and she joined Morgan Ashcraft, Kristen Douglass and Shelby Mizer to place fifth in the 400 free relay (5:27) to lead the River View girls.
Dalton Hammond, Brenden Dickson, Garrett Gee and Coleston Pope were second in the 400 free relay (4:13), and Dickson, Pope, Gee and Hammond took third in the 200 medley relay (2:12) for River View. Pope also was second in the 500 free (5:57) and third in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.5); Hammond was second in the 50 free (28.05) and Dickson took fifth in the 200 free (2:31).
Ridgewood’s Brian Rogers was second in the 100 free (:58.5) and fourth in the 100 breast (1:15.8).
