Clarksville Academy and Houston County remain ranked during the state’s second prep football poll, which was released Monday afternoon.

Clarksville Academy, which received one-first place vote, is ranked No. 6 in the Class 1A poll, the same position it held in last week’s inaugural poll.

Houston County, which is off to its first 3-0 start in over a decade, is ranked No. 8 in the Class 2A poll, up one spot from last week.

Both members of District 10-A, Clarksville Academy moved to 3-0 and 1-0 after it beat Nashville Christian 29-14 this past Friday. The Cougars play at home this Friday against Mt. Juliet Christian.

Houston County owns an identical record after it beat White House-Heritage 26-14. The Irish step out of the district over the next three week playing their oldest rivals, Wavery, this Friday and Stewart County on Sept. 21. They have a bye week on Sept. 14.
