Granville’s Kevin Huddle placed fourth in a time of 16:06 to lead the Blue Aces to the Division II title in the Galion Invitational.
The Blue Aces scored 100 points, ahead of Bay Village’s 138, to win the 28-team meet. Other scorers were Tyler Otterstedt (8th, 16:21); Logan Pitcher (19th, 16:40); Gabe Staats (21st, 16:44) and Will Emery (48th, 17:24).
Competing for Johnstown were Kaleb Walker (156th, 19:18); Kaleb Matoszkia (190th, 21:48) and Stephen Harper (191st, 21:59).
The Granville girls were third out of 25 teams with 92 points. Scorers for the Blue Aces were Alyssa Atkinson (13th, 20:03); Micaela DeGenero (15th, 20:06); Claire Lamb (16th, 20:06); Ariana Sotoropolis (21st, 20:18) and Caris Kuhn (27th, 20:37).
Competing for Johnstown were Grace Mast (52nd, 21:51); MaCalah Mast (62nd, 22:08) and Jessica Turner (83rd, 22:38).
In the Division I girls race, Watkins Memorial’s Josie Woosley placed fourth in a time of 19:10.
Other Watkins scorers were Veda Durbin (33rd, 20:36); Josie Cotugno (70th, 21:31); Natalie Watson (72nd, 21:35) and Claire Snode (91st, 22:28).
In the boys race, Watkins was 17th out of 26. Scorers were Mike McKean (30th, 16:40); Austin Dowis (74th, 17:19); Tyler Day (78th, 17:21); Jared Clark (137th, 18:30) and Eddie Gero (145th, 18:52).
