Newark Catholic girls took first place out of seven teams in the small-school division at the Cambridge Invitational. Kat Bowman finished seventh in 21:45 and was followed by Mcki Reid (12th, 22:24); Mickayla Messer (16th, 22:57); Mary Richardson (20th, 23:30) and Erica Rickey (23rd, 23:39).
The Newark Catholic boys finished second out of nine teams. Tanner Earnest placed second in 17:25 and was followed by Garrett Bemiller (17th, 18:56); Ryan Lally (18th, 18:59); Carl Williams (20th, 19:01) and Jack Butler (23rd, 19:19).
The Valley girls were fourth overall in the large-school division, led by overall winner Mackenzie Butler in 19:41. Butler was followed by Haylee Zigan (15th, 21:44); Natalie Hurst (27th, 22:24); Cara Dillon (46th, 23:51) and Bethany Rutherford (52nd, 24:13).
The Licking Valley boys were fifth in the large-school division, led by Griffin Butler (9th, 17:57); John Righter (27th, 18:55); Nathan Truex (53rd, 20:08); Jeremy Nicol (54th, 20:12) and Sam Lehman (57th, 20:21).
