Newark’s Kameron Carpenter finished second in 16:18 to lead the Wildcats to a fourth-place finish as a team Saturday at the Panther Invitational at Pickerington North.
After Carpenter was Willie Henderson (24th, 17:09), Anthony Johnson (36th, 17:30), Patrick Williams (81st, 18:06) and Isaac Wheeler (110th, 18:26).
Heath finished 23rd out of 34 teams led by Austin Smart (67th, 17:56); Dylan Karr (96th, 18:14); Freddy Stinson (100th, 18:19); Elijah Goines (186th, 19:23) and Greg Ybarra (218th, 19:55).
Granville Christian was 32nd, led by Daniel Coplin (86th, 18:08); Jeffrey Yohman (133rd, 18:45); Jon Benvie (177th, 19:16); Jake Coplin (244th, 20:39) and Roberto Villameriel (245th, 20:40).
Licking Heights was 33rd, paced by Anthony Haist (111th, 18:27); Tysson Olverson (151st, 19:00); Vince Masoni (207th, 19:44); Brandon Haist (208th, 19:46) and Drew Sellitto (226th, 20:07).
Johnstown was led by Kaleb Walker (165th, 19:07); Kaleb Matoszkia (252th, 21:00) and Stephen Harper (263rd, 21:17).
Utica was led by Marcus Lopez (130th, 18:43); Kyle Knezovich (231st, 20:14); Kyle Moran (232nd, 20:14) and Heath Bays (300th, 24:04).
Granville Christian had the top local girls finisher as Lauren Keiser was 18th in 20:03. Teammates Erin Adkins (207th, 24:54) and Shelby Hickey (242nd, 26:44) followed.
Licking Heights was the top girls team in 27th, led by Briana Konich (60th, 21:40); PyLynne Myers (158th, 23:20); Audrey Duke (176th, 23:51); Kacie Solages (183rd, 24:01) and MacKenzie Myers (191st, 24:10).
Heath was 29th as a team, led by Kelsey Wilson (144th, 23:09); Esther Yi (151st, 23:15); Sharuti Patel (162nd, 23:37); Caitlyn Rice (171st, 23:48) and Kennedy Hartman (189th, 24:06).
Johnstown was led by Grace Mast (87th, 22:13); Jessica Turner (91st, 22:15); McCalah Mast (94th, 22:19) and Jennifer Miller (266th, 31:36).
