Off the court, Dakari Johnson has made it clear he's ready for college basketball, announcing he plans to move up a year and reclassify as a senior. His on-court work has been just as telling about his potential. Johnson, a 6-10, 250-pound center, is regularly putting up double-doubles to help lead Montverde (Fla.) Academy to a 6-0 start and a No. 2 spot in the Super 25 boys basketball rankings. His stats are even more surprising since he usually plays less than a half in his team's games.
Johnson is the focus of this week's American Family Insurance ALL-USA Watch. Until April, when the postseason ALL-USA boys basketball team will be announced, we’re taking a look at those who have either backed up the preseason hype or played their way into ALL-USA consideration.
