Bath girls second at x-country regionals

The Bath girls cross country team qualified for the Division 3 state meet with a second place finish behind Lansing Catholic at regionals at Carson City on Oct. 27.

Bath finished with 84 points behind the Cougars, who won the event with 55 points.

Annie Fanta paced the Bees with a seventh place individual finish with a time of 19:53. Alyssa Abendroth was ninth with a time of 20:06 for Bath.

Gabrielle Labioda was 19th with a time of 20:36, Lindsey Brown was 24th with a time of 21:07 and Faith Brown was 25th with a time of 21:11 for Bath.

The Bath boys cross country team took sixth at the same event on the boys side. Nick Thomas was 15th to lead the Bees with a time of 17:17.

William Spagnuolo was 20th with a time of 17:31, Jake Rolff was 48th with a time of 18:35, Russell Lipe was 59th with a time of 18:50 and Elliott Lipe was 61st with a time of 19:07 for the Bees.

DHS girls fourth, boys seventh, at regionals

Shelby Waterson took third individually with a time of 18:45 to qualify for the state finals as an individual at the Division 2 girls cross country regional meet at Carson City on Oct. 27.

DeWitt finished in fourth as a team. Emily Murdoch was 13th with a time of 19:18 and also qualified as an individual, Jordan Lee was 19th with a time of 19:39, Kaila Black was 27th with a time of 20:20 and Ashley Brzozowski was 38th with a time of 20:42 for the Panthers.

The DeWitt boys finished seventh as a team at the Carson City regional. Nate Kimble led the Panthers individually with a 17th place finish in a time of 16:56.

Mitch Kolito was 25th with a time of 17:21, Phillip McCauley was 37th with a time of 17:39, Joe Wojciehowski was 122nd with a time of 17:51 and Jordyn Helmic was 176th with a time of 18:12 for DeWitt.

Bath spikers fall to St. Patrick

The Bath volleyball team lost to Portland St. Patrick in five games on Oct. 25.

Nicole Wahrer led Bath with 26 digs and three blocks while Moran Wilson had 12 kills and two aces for the Bees.

Bath then fell in a Class C district opener to Dansville on Tuesday in four games.

Sadie Bass led Bath with 11 kills while Wahrer added five blocks for the Bees.
