The change of location wasn’t a problem for the Waupun football team, which won its homecoming game 56-19 against New Holstein on Friday evening.
Moved from Veteran’s Memorial Field to the practice field, Waupun scored at least two touchdowns in each of the final three quarters.
The Warriors got some distance late in the first half with a Jimmy Hopp TD run and a touchdown pass from Keegan Pinch to Avery Armga right before the break.
Waupun (1-5, 1-4) continued to run wild in the second half. In the game, five Waupun players — Pinch, Jordan Daane, Hopp, Adrian Harmsen and Caleb Steinhauer — ran for a score.
Aaron Schaefer and Michael Blanck ran four touchdowns for the Huskies (1-5, 0-5).
Plymouth 41, Campbellsport 6
At Plymouth, Campbellsport scored first, but that was about the only offense the Cougars (3-3, 2-3) could muster.
Austin Kerkela ran in from 6 yards out for the early score. Plymouth answered with two rushing and two passing touchdowns to take a 27-6 halftime lead.
Taylor Straschinske rushed 10 times for 50 yards to lead Campbellsport on the ground.
