Ex-Satellite High swimmer falls short in Olympic trials

Eric Williams, a Satellite High graduate and competitor for Florida Atlantic University, fell short in the men’s 50 freestyle in USA Swimming’s Olympic Trials this morning.

Williams posted a preliminary round time of 24.19, ranking 162 overall out of 170 swimmers. The top 16 qualified for the semifinals.

NBC Sports Network will air coverage of the preliminaries from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with live coverage of the semifinals from 8 to 9 p.m. on NBC.
