The battle of 3A unbeatens had been dominated by Erie (4-1) in the first half. A pair of touchdown runs by Joey Ramey and a 35-yard interception return by Pedro Anderson helped give Erie a 28-12 lead at the break.
The second half belonged to Northridge (5-0). Robert Fulton threw a pair of touchdown passes to Brad Marx and added a score on the ground to give the Grizzlies a 34-28 lead after three.
Northridge opens Tri-Valley League play next Friday against another 5-0 team, Silver Creek, at District 6 Stadium in Greeley at 7 PM.
Erie hosts Frederick in their Northern Conference opener next Friday at 7.
