The Fossil Ridge girls basketball team won the McDonald’s Classic in Cheyenne, Wyo., with a 46-39 win over Cheyenne East.
The SaberCats trailed most of the game, but came roaring back, outscoring Cheyenne East 21-7 in the fourth quarter to win the game. Fossil Ridge (3-0) was led in scoring by Gabby Smith.
NATRONA COUNTY 74, WINDSOR 36 — The Windsor girls basketball team fell to Natrona County in the final game of the McDonald’s Classic in Wyoming.
Natrona County scored 43 first half points on their way to a 74-36 win. Windsor (2-1) was led in scoring by 13 points from Brooke Pemberton and 11 from Alysa Manicone.
LIBERTY COMMON 59, ALEXANDER DAWSON 25 — The Liberty Common girls basketball team shutout Alexander Dawson in the first quarter and were up 43-8 at halftime on their way to a dominating victory.
The Eagles (1-0) were led in scoring by Kayla Rhoads, who had 16 points. Molly Gillis had 15 points and eight players scored for Liberty Common in the win at Alexander Dawson.
HIGHLAND 47, HERITAGE CHRISTIAN 32 — The Highland girls basketball team held Heritage Christian below 10 points in three out of four quarters on its way to a 47-32 win. Highland (1-0) was led in scoring by 17 points from Jamie Clawson and 10 from Emily Andersen. Mariah Green had 13 points to lead Heritage Christian (1-1).
WESTMOOR 73, ROCKY MOUNTAIN 51 — The Rocky Mountain girls basketball team lost to Westmoor 73-51 in the championship game of the San Francisco Lincoln Invitational in California. No stats were available for the game.
