Exemplary character: In addition to serving as a member of his school’s student council, he has volunteered on behalf of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and donated his time to the local recreation department.
“He would be a great player for any team in Georgia, regardless of how good his surrounding players are,” said Gordon Powers, head coach of rival Model (Rome, Ga.). “He is the best I have seen and competed against in years. His stats are only a small part of his athletic ability. I found out first-hand in our game against him just how athletic he is. I have had the opportunity to meet and talk with Taylor during some 7-on-7 competitions. I discovered that in my 32 years of coaching, he is one of the most respectful and honest young man I have met.”
THE FUTURE: Lamb has verbally committed to play football on an athletic scholarship at the University of Southern Alabama beginning in the fall of 2013.
