The Lady Pioneers notched the 100th win in the program’s history by beating the Tornadoes in a nonleague match.
It finished close, but it wasn’t that way for much of the game.
Megan Jaruwannakorn got the scoring started in the first half off an assist by Sidney Johnson, and Johnson was credited with her second assist of the half a few minutes later when she fed Montana Fry.
In the second half, Brooke Uhrig cashed in on a penalty kick — earned when Jaruwannakorn was fouled near the goal — to make it a 3-0 game before West Muskingum got two quick goals to make it close. After that, the Pioneers’ defense rode out the final 10 minutes.
Zane Trace (9-3) will travel to Fairfield Union on Tuesday.
