Greene football coach Tim Paske had his suspension reduced to a single game, and will reassume control of the program effective Monday.
Paske on Tuesday was suspended for what Greene superintendent Jonathan Retz said was the remainder of the season as result of “a personnel issue” on which he declined to elaborate.
But a press release issued by the school district Friday afternoon stated:
“Following several meetings and meaningful discussions, the Greene Central School District and its Varsity Football Coach, Tim Paske have reached an understanding regarding an ongoing personnel issue. Mr. Paske will resume his head coaching responsibilities Monday, October 15. Please respect that this issue has been resolved and allow the Greene Football Team to focus on the remainder of their season.”
Attached were the signatures of Retz and Paske.
The Trojans (4-2) will be without Paske for a 1:30 game today at Whitney Point. The team closes regular-season play Oct. 19 at Norwich.
In Paske’s 10-year stint as head coach, Greene has played to a 57-32 record.
