H.S. roundup: BFA-St. Albans shoots past Missisquoi

ST. ALBANS – Cierra Ford and Kate Dillon provided the goals as BFA-St. Albans topped Missisquoi, 2-0, in a high school girls soccer game Monday.

Ford’s goal, a header, was set up by a free kick from Phoebe Martell-Crawford. Amanda Swim, in her first varsity start, had three saves for the Comets (6-2).

* Green Mountain Valley 1, U-32 1: Cilla Wanzer’s second-half goal helped U-32 earn a tie with visiting Green Mountain Valley.

Emily George earned the assist while Bailey Starr turned away six shots for the Raiders (4-2-2).

Storey Dyer-Kloman scored an unassisted tally and Natalie Wetmore had seven saves for the Gumbies (1-0-4).

Field hockey

* Spaulding 3, Milton 2, OT: Mariah Jacobs notched the winning goal with 6:18 left in overtime, giving Spaulding the win over Milton.

Jaime Marsh and Liz Clark gave Spaulding a 2-0 first-half lead, Nichole Weeks had two assists and Brittnee Bell stopped 20 shots.

Keely Again and Mary Rowley had the goals for Milton. Amanda Coulombe made 17 saves.
