Ankeny, Ia. — Three first half touchdown passes by quarterback Joel Lanning and over 400 yards rushing pushed Ankeny to its second win to start the season.
The Hawks also got 151 yards and three touchdowns on the ground by senior Ian Begg. Jordan Cheatem returned a kickoff 99 yards for Lincoln’s only first half score.

Ames, Ia. — Southeast Polk took the lead early when Dalton Sanford ran 92 yards for a touchdown with 11:43 left in the first quarter. The Rams were able to hold their lead through the rest of the game. Jordan Beem ran for 110 yards, while Tate Christensen made four catches for 114 receiving yards. Mike Mayberry scored a touchdown for Ames and had 90 receiving yards for the Little Cyclones. Southeast Polk will host Valley next week.
