VALLEY 56, FORT DODGE 13

West Des Moines, Ia. — Defending champions Valley pounded Fort Dodge as coach Gary Swenson became the 10th coach in Iowa high school football to reach 300 career wins.
“It was gratifying to share it with all of the staff that I work with, that’s been such a huge part of so many of those wins,” Swenson said after the game. “A lot of great players over the years have contributed to that, but it’s the coaches that I’ve had the pleasure and luxury of working with that deserve credit too. We’re proud of getting that done.”
