Lorain senior girls basketball player Alex Harris orally committed to attend Penn State in fall 2013 and to join the school’s Big 10 women’s hoops program on Sunday.


St. Peter Chanel recently appointed Patrick Bulford as the school’s next head varsity baseball coach

Gilmour Academy recently appointed John Fagan as the school’s new swim coach.

Amherst Steele baseball standout Griffin Weir recently orally committed to attend Stanford University in fall 2013 and to join the Cardinal’s Division I baseball program.


Brecksville-Broadview Heights senior soccer player Allison Stucky was named one of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s High School Players of the Week on Sept. 19.

Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary freshman basketball standout VJ King recently received and accepted an invitation to attend the 2012 USA Men’s Basketball Development National mini-camp on Oct. 6-7 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado.


Magnificat recently named North Ridgeville resident Kasey Reis as the school’s next softball coach.

West Liberty-Salem High School senior Meghan Vogel – who was universally praised for assisting another competitor finish a race during last year’s state track and field tournament – was awarded the Jack Kelly Fair Play Award by the U.S Olympic Committee on Friday.


The Canton Central Catholic boys golf team and the Massillon Jackson girls golf squad captured team titles on Saturday in Stark County Invitational competition.
