Kentucky’s high school soccer postseason will resume today with girls’ semistate games across the state.
In the Semistate Three game, No. 10-ranked Elizabethtown (15-5-2) will host Mercy (16-7) at 7 p.m. at T.K. Stone Middle School. In the Semistate Four game, No. 4 Assumption (18-3-4) will host No. 8 Oldham County (19-3-1) at 7 p.m. at Champions Trace.
The winners will meet at 7 p.m. Saturday in a state quarterfinal at Lafayette High School in Lexington.
The boys’ semistate round is set for Tuesday.
Fern Creek (15-4-3) will play at North Hardin (18-6) at 7 p.m. in the Semistate Three game, with the winner facing the Boone County-Harrison County winner in a state quarterfinal at 1 p.m. Saturday at Henry Clay High School in Lexington.
No. 1 St. Xavier (23-0-2), the defending state champion, will host South Oldham (14-8-2) at 7 p.m. in the Semistate Four game. The winner will face the Corbin-Perry County Central winner in a state quarterfinal at 5 p.m. Saturday at Henry Clay.
