* Coach: Mike Donahue (second year, 0-11)
* Last season: 0-10 (lost to Salem 29-21 in first round of Class 3A Sectional)
* Outlook: Donahue was concerned about how his team would endure a season that included playing all 10 games away. “I was worried about how fired up they’d be,” he said. “They’re off the scale. It’s impressive on their part.” Donahue said fan support has been crucial. “Even though we were 0-10, at times we had more fans in the stands than opponents did as the home team.”
Team strengths are ability to score points on the running game. Layne Taylor rushed for more than 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns and he’s not the only option for handoffs; fullback Zach Reynolds is also fast.
The Dragons look to improve on holding opposing offenses, as the average winning margin of rivals was 23 points.
