At Warsaw, the Muskies ran into the Lady Knights, who needed three sets to advance, 25-14, 25-22, 25-16, in a Division II sectional volleyball match at River View.

“That is a very good team we played,” John Glenn coach Christie McGee said. “We passed inconsistently and that really cost us.”

The first set saw West Holmes jump ahead 3-0 and never look back. The second set looked like more of the same when Laina Snyder scored five consecutive points to make it 8-4.

However, the Lady Muskies (9-14) fought back and eventually tied the set at 17 when Brittany Fraunfelter, who had eight digs, scored a pair of points before the Knights emerged with the win.

John Glenn got eight kills and three aces from Teresa Kuhns, Taylour Fatheree had five kills and a pair of blocks, and Haley Gregory had 10 assists with a pair of digs for John Glenn.

The Lady Knights were led by Laina Snyder with 14 kills and four aces. Rachelle Morrison added seven kills, Paiten Strother six kills and Cara Park four kills to go with 31 assists and five aces.
