DeMOTTE – Twin Lakes’ girls golf sectional championship reign ended at 14 years on Monday.
Deadlocked with Kankakee Valley at 362 after four scores were counted, the host Kougars claimed the title on fifth person Madison Wireman’s 110.
Rensselaer also advanced to Saturday’s Lafayette Regional with 391, led by medalist Bobbie Jo Culp’s 81. Twin Lakes’ Taylor Russell and Morgan Kyburz were second, each with 82.
Qualifying as individuals were North Newton’s Alisha Watts and Taylor Watkins, who carded 91 and 99, respectively.
ROSSVILLE – A balanced hitting attack, led by Savannah Rider and Brynn Roy with 16 kills each, overcame a big night for the Hornets’ Brinsley Cooper.
Roy also had five blocks, and Rider served six aces for Harrison. Kayla Ostrom had a triple-double with 10 kills, 20 digs and 59 assists. Kassandra Williams also was in double figures with 14 kills, and Hayley Sinnott paced the defense with 39 digs.
Cooper and Emily Martin led the offensive charge for Class A No. 8 Rossville with 29 and 16 kills. Cooper, who hit. 553, also had six blocks. Martin hit .400 and also contributed 16 digs.
Kacie McGill and Micheala Miller combined for 51 assists.

LOGANSPORT – Connor Garrity had 13 assists and 11 digs for the Bronchos, who struggled to hit against Logansport.
Kylie Victor and Syd Bullard had 11 kills apiece for the Berries.
CHALMERS – Jenna Sullivan dominated up front with 17 kills on .500 hitting for the Class A No. 10 Falcons.
Kattie Lee added nine kills, and Jesah Marlatt served five aces for Frontier.
WOLCOTT – Jesse LeBeau had 12 assists and six digs for the Cavaliers, who were limited to .056 hitting by Class A No. 6 Pioneer.

DELPHI – Sam Merkle broke open a 1-0 match, scoring four goals in the second half for the Eagles (4-4-1).
Peter Timperman also scored twice in the second half for Faith Christian.
