The Kiel girls swim team finished fourth at the nine-team Redwing Relays at Sheboygan South on Tuesday night.
The Raiders had a total of 58 points to trail winner Sheboygan North’s 120. The Valders-Chilton-Brillion co-op team also competed and finished sixth with 34 points while the Two Rivers-Roncalli co-op was ninth with zero points recorded.
Kiel’s top finish came in the 400-yard breast-fly relay as Nicolette Meunier, Amber Kreis, Micaela Martin and Elizabeth Bucholz finished first in 5:00.27. Kreis, Meunier, Martin and Buchholz also earned a second-place finish in the 300-yard backstroke relay (3:20.37) and in the 300 yard breaststroke (3:54.12). North won both of the events with times of 3:11.79 and 3:50.78, respectively.
The Valders-Chilton-Brillion top finish was in the 200 yard freestyle relay in which Kalie Knutson, Abby Vickman, Theresa Evenson and Andrea Berger finished third (1:57.05) behind winner Sheboygan North’s 1:47.07 and second place Plymouth’s 1:51.09.
Two Rivers-Roncalli had a trio of seventh-place finishes. Kayla Crass, Maddie Gleichner, Grace Crabb and Mariah Broehm finished the 300 yard backstroke relay in 5:05.77 while Maddie Basken, Broehm, Ashley Mohr and Marissa Broehm finished the 500 yard crescendo relay in 6:34.58 behind winner Sheboygan North’s 5:07.80. Two Rivers-Roncalli’s Gleichner, Theresa Manna, Crabb and Sydney Schubring also were seventh in the 300 yard breaststroke in a time of 4:39.02.
