Monday’s finals of the Tri-Eastern Conference Tournament in boys tennis comes down to Centerville vs. Northeastern.
The Bulldogs and Knights advanced players at all five flights during Saturday’s first two rounds of the tournament.
Northeastern’s Grant Esposito faces Centerville’s Eric Josephson at No. 1 singles, Jacob Rankin (Northeastern) meets Jacob Thompson (Centerville) at No. 2 and Jeremy Lacey (Northeastern) takes on Adam Spencer (Centerville) at No. 3.
In doubles action, Northeastern will be represented by the duos of Charlie Webster and Ryan Hester (No. 1) and Craig Dingwerth and Shane Stiner (No. 2). Centerville’s Chandler Howell and Brady Wagenknecht will play at No. 1 doubles, and Mickey Barnes and Alex Hill at No. 2 for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs and Knights each have 40 points. Northeastern is the defending tournament champion, and the Knights won this year’s regular-season title.
Centerville and Northeastern met this past Wednesday in the regular-season matchup, with the Knights winning 5-0.
Lincoln will finish third as a team with 12 points, while Hagerstown and Winchester tie for fourth with nine each.
Monday’s finals are at Centerville.
