CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Rossview’s volleyball team had a busy weekend playing in the Sun Blast tournament, hosted by Franklin High at ‘A Game.’
The Lady Hawks (25-4) opened Friday’s action with a 25-19, 25-9 win over Beech, lost to Bartlett 25-18, 26-24, then beat Bishop-Byrne 25-8, 25-5.
On Saturday, the Lady Hawks opened with a 25-21, 25-22 win over Harpeth, followed by wins over Macon County (25-12, 25-13) and Lipscomb (25-13, 25-23). They were eliminated from tournament play with a loss to Goodpasture, 25-11, 25-17.
For the tournament, Janie White had 53 kills, seven blocks and 30 digs, Regan Comperry finished with 103 assists, 16 kills, eight aces and 27 digs and Mica Koontz had 24 kills, 13 aces and 21 digs.
The Lady Hawks play their biggest match of the season on Monday when they play host to Dickson County at 6 p.m. The winner clinches the District 10-AAA regular season title and will host the district tournament, which begins on Thursday.
Clarksville High beats Rossview
in charity game
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville High had goals from four Lady Wildcats in a 4-0 win over Rossview on Saturday in the Camp Rainbow Charity Game. The game doesn’t counts toward the team’s district records, only overall records.
Clarksville High (12-4-0) took a 1-0 lead when Justis Bailey scored off an assist from Ella Baggett in the 53rd minute. Less than 10 minutes later, Salera Jordan scored with Amber Colvin receiving credit for an assist. Colvin scored in the 72nd minute with Jordan assisting.
Clarksville High’s final goal came in the 78th minute of an unassisted goal from Cat Horton.
Melia Correa had three saves at keeper for the Lady Wildcats.
