The Lakeview girls’ golf team continued its reign in the SMAC East on Monday, winning the overall division title for the sixth consecutive year.
The Spartans won the final Jamboree at Cedar Creek Golf Club with a team score of 156. Lakeview’s Danielle Little was the medalist with a 36, while Megan Strole shot a 42 and was the overall medalist of the league. Also scoring for Lakeview were Amanda Noakes (38) and Julia Ryan (42).
The rest of the field finished Monday’s jamboree in the same order they placed in the conference standings. Marshall was second with 185, Coldwater third with 186, Harper Creek fourth with a 212, Sturgis fifth with a 231 and Battle Creek Central/Pennfield sixth with a 233.
Marshall’s top golfers were Amanda Genise (43), Annie Cape (44), Sammy Price (48) and Jill Puckett (50).
Coldwater was led by Katie Fair (41), Cecilia Ward (45), Anna Wendorf (47) and Abby Donbrock (53).
Harper Creek’s top golfers were Jozlin Johnson (44), Miranda Maddox (49), Bailee Wilkins (58) and Maeve Hammond (61).
BCC/Pennfiel was led by Megan DeHart (45), Ashlynd Horvath (50), Samantha Prescott (63), Paylend Swartz (75).
Olivet 3, Bellevue 0: Olivet won by scores of 25-16, 25-20 and 25-22. The Eagles (3-1-7) were led by Kaylyn Westlake with 18 assists and three aces. Also for the Eagles, Lauren Westlake had 13 digs; Daniella Garza had 10 digs; Aleen Janousek had seven kills; and Mariah Sperley had four blocks.
(At) Galesburg-Augusta 6, Olivet 1: G-A’s Derrek DeGraaf had two goals, while Josh Saggio, Chaz Shugars, Andrew Greene and Andy Gregg also scored. Gregg, Austin Pierce and Kyle Hoyt each had an assist and Ryan Ranes made four saves.
Olivet’s Carney Greene scored on an assist from Tyler Andrews. Russell Pliley made two saves in goal for the Eagles (2-6-0, 1-3 KVA).
(At) Delton Kellogg 3, Maple Valley 0: Delton Kellogg’s Gary Egelkraut, Mark Ordway and Cole Mabie each scored in the KVA victory.
Quincy 3, Jonesville 0: Quincy’s Evan Albright and Igor Batista had a goal and an assist apiece, while Ashton Diott scored and Jake Rider had an assist in the win.
Dakota Finley had seven saves in goal for Quincy (8-2-2, 2-1-2 ISL).
