Licking County Christian Academy brought home third from the Buckeye Christian School Association State Tournament after finishing the weekend 3-2.

LCCA defeated Heritage 25-23, 25-21 in its first match, but lost to Zanesville Christian 25-22, 25-21.

LCCA bounced back to defeat Wayside Christian 25-11, 25-13 and Fayette Christian 25-17, 25-21, but faced Zanesville Christian in its final match, falling 25-23, 25-20.

Abby McLaughlin led LCCA with 39 kills and 11 aces. With those totals it helped her to a single-season school record of 283 kills. She and Hannah Milhorn (nine kills, 13 aces) were voted to the all tournament team and were named first and second team Ohio Christian Conference All-Stars, respectively. Zeda Nutter added 11 kills and 13 aces in the tournament.

LCCA finishes its season 16-14.
