Shreveport-Bossier City, Lake Charles and Hammond have been selected as the host cities for the 2013 Louisiana High School Athletic Association boys’ and girls’ regional basketball tournaments.

In Shreveport-Bossier, the CenturyLink Center will be the host venue for the northern regional semifinals set for March 1-2, 2013.

“Shreveport-Bossier is thrilled to be selected as a host for the 2013 northern regional semi-finals in partnership with LHSAA,” said Kelly Wells, vice president of tourism/sports marketing for the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission. “Our area high schools have built some of the strongest programs in the country, and we are excited that they will get an opportunity to showcase their skills and talent in a world-class venue like CenturyLink Center.”
The regional tournaments will host between eight and 10 games during the weekend and an estimated 12,000 attendees are expected to participate in the northern regional semifinals.
