Manitowoc Lincoln High School recently announced its its list of festivities leading up to the Ships’ homecoming football game on Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. against Sheboygan South.
The annual powder puff showdown between the junior girls and senior girls will take place on Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at Ron Rubick Municipal Field. The theme of the event will be Extreme Pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Holy Family Memorial Hospital for breast cancer awareness. Those planning to attend are encouraged to wear pink.
The homecoming parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 29 with all Manitowoc-area schools having been invited to participate this year. The parade will start at the JFK parking lot and head south on South 9th Street to Grand Avenue heading west to Ron Rubick Municipal Field.
There will then be a tailgate party sponsored by the Lincoln Booster Club which will run until kickoff of the football game.
