The Manitowoc Lincoln girls tennis team team defeated visiting Green Bay Preble 5-2 on Tuesday, sweeping the singles matches while dropping a pair of doubles contests.

Bailey Budnik (No. 1), Kali Hackmann (No. 2), Seidl DeWitt (No. 3) and Haley Feller (No. 4) each earned singles victories for Lincoln (10-5, 3-1 Fox River Classic Conference).

In doubles, the only Ships pair to emerge victorious was Michaela Jagemann and Sydney Verbauwhede (No. 2) which edged Preble’s Molley Keon and Pexy Tank 6-2, 7-5.

Lincoln next will host Sheboygan South on Thursday.

Roncalli earned the road win as Elizabeth Kuenzi (No. 1), Emily Halvorsen (No. 2) and Chloe Kitzerow (No. 3) won in singles.

In doubles, Abby Halla-Tallie Piaskowski (No. 1), Catherin Taddy-Sophie Pitz (No. 2) and Anne Platteter-Hannah Kubsch (No. 3) earned doubles wins for the Jets.

Roncalli will host the Roncalli Quadrangular on Saturday at Lincoln Park with Wausau Newman, Columbus Catholic and Shorewood also competing.

Kewaskum 5, Two Rivers 2

Host Two Rivers earned wins from its No. 1 singles player Taylor Czekala and its No. 1 doubles team of Ashley Kakuk and Gabby Yokiel.

Czekala topped Kewaskum’s Kierra Kuehl 6-1, 6-2 while Kakuk-Yokiel edged the Indians’ Danielle Eicker and Gabrielle Wade 6-3, 7-6.
