The Manitowoc Lincoln boys soccer team swept all three games at the Oostburg Invite by a combined score of 13-1 to win the title.
Lincoln defeated Denmark 6-0 to kick things off, followed by wins over host Oostburg (4-1) and Campbellsport (3-0).
Against Denmark, six different Ships found the back of the net: Jacob Gottshall, Michael Olson, Sam Martinez, Salman Qazi, Sam Merten and Drake Nickels. Ben Henry assisted on Olson’s and Martinez’s goals to lead the team with two assists.
Game 2 saw Lincoln (7-1) hold a tentative 1-0 advantage heading into halftime against Oostburg but three second-half goals by Connor Becka, Henry and Mitchell Belisle put the game on ice. Gotshall scored the Ships first goal.
Nickels made five saves in net for the Ships in Game 2.
The Ships took another 1-0 lead into half against Campbellsport after Becka put Lincoln on top. In the second half Sander Hansen and Gottshall scored, with assists from Becka and Henry, respectively.
