Casey Herzog scored twice and Amanda Ralton added a goal in the Roy C. Ketcham High School field hockey team’s 3-1 home victory over Somers on Wednesday.

Kara McConologue made 13 saves for Ketcham (3-6-1).

“Things are finally starting to come together,” Ketcham coach Erin Mulligan said. “The girls are applying what we learned in practice and using it in a game situation. We’re definitely a different team from the start of the season.

Pawling 5, John F. Kennedy Catholic 0 — Isabella Grillo scored twice, and Amber Cody had a goal and two assists for visiting Pawling (8-1-1, 8-0).

Lana Felice and Morgan Kelly each had a goal for the Tigers.

Our Lady of Lourdes 1, Hendrick Hudson 1 — Michaela Davida scored the tying goal for the host Warriors with four minutes left in regulation.

Emma Philipbar made three saves for Lourdes (6-2-1).

Lourdes visits Arlington on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Lakeland 4, John Jay 1 — Sam Macrillo scored in the final minute to help the Patriots avoid a shutout on the road.

Despite the loss, John Jay coach Barb Deppe praised her defense, including goalie Jo Lei Buonanno, who made 13 saves.

Crediting the quartet of Jenna Lasaponara, Sawyer Georg, Tory Sanchez and Erin French, Deppe said her team stopped Lakeland (8-0) from scoring on all but one of its 18 penalty corners.

John Jay (3-6) will host John Jay-Cross River today.

Scholastic volleyball

Samantha Blanchfield collected five kills, 20 assists, three service aces and eight digs in Lourdes’ 25-16, 25-13, 25-4 victory over Pawling.

Briana Garnot had four kills, 10 aces and 18 service points for the Warriors (8-5), who also received three kills from Leah Lamorte.

Haldane 3, John Jay-Cross River 2 — Lauren Etta collected 26 kills, 22 assists, two aces, eight digs and two blocks for host Haldane in a 22-25, 25-19, 30-32, 30-28, 25-17 victory late Tuesday.

Kelly Vahos tallied 16 kills, two aces, four digs and nine blocks for the Blue Devils (6-3).

Katie Cunningham added 12 kills, two assists, seven aces, six digs and one block.

Haldane travels to Putnam Valley on Thursday and John Jay-Cross River on Friday.

Girls swimming

Emma Reining placed first in the 200-yard individual medley and 100 backstroke for visiting Franklin D. Roosevelt in a 100-79 Orange County League loss to Washingtonville.

Skye Haskell took first place in 1-meter diving for the Presidents.

Beacon 92, Lourdes 76 — Addisen Rutkoske, Paige Rutkoske and Kassey Gonzalez each won two events as the visiting Bulldogs defeated the Warriors at Poughkeepsie Middle School late Tuesday.

Addisen Rutkoske won the 200 individual medley (2:22.42) and 100 breaststroke (1:13.88).

Paige Rutkoske won the 50 freestyle (25.18) and 100 freestyle (55.53). Gonzalez placed first in the 100 butterfly (1:06.54) and 100 backstroke (1:05.34).

Emily Eraca won the 500 freestyle for Beacon in 6:02.73. Lauren Conde placed first in the 200 freestyle for Lourdes in 2:15.70.

Boys golf

Roosevelt’s James Cruger and Shawn Cimorelli each shot a 5-over-par 39 at Lazy Swan Golf & Country Club Village in Saugerties as the Presidents defeated the host Sawyers 165-177 in Mid-Hudson Athletic League play.

Saugerties defeated Wallkill 177-231 as part of a tri-match. Wallkill ended the season with an 8-2 record, while Roosevelt finished 5-5 and Saugerties ended at 4-8.

The MHAL individual sectional qualifier will be held today at 9 a.m. at Highland’s Apple Greens Golf Course.

Women’s soccer

Samantha Abravanel and Roy C. Ketcham graduate Emily Rokitowski scored for host New Paltz in a 2-0 non-league win over Drew.

Stephanie Vega made four saves for New Paltz (11-2-1).

Mount Saint Mary 11, Maritime 0 — Nastassja Rowe, Shanice Robe and Meghan Moran each scored three goals as the host Blue Knights improved to 10-2-1 with a Skyline Conference victory late Tuesday.

College field hockey

New Paltz beat Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 2-0 with Lauren Link and Alyssa Stock scoring for the visiting Hawks.

Antonija Pjetri made two saves for New Paltz (9-4).

Boys soccer

Jason Bruno and Adam Laubach scored for host Marlboro in a 2-1 MHAL victory over Highland late Tuesday.

Jarred Babineau scored for Highland.

New Paltz 3, Saugerties 1 — Tucker Stern scored all three goals as the visiting Huguenots won an MHAL game on the road late Tuesday.

Rhinebeck 9, John A. Coleman Catholic 0 — Seth McClenahan and Nick Hoynes each scored twice for the Hawks (7-2) in a road MHAL win late Tuesday.

Hendrick Hudson 4, Pawling 3 — The Tigers dropped to 3-6 late Tuesday despite a pair of goals from T.J. D’Ottavio and another from Mike Konchan.

Onteora 6, Webutuck 0 — Austin Brown made five saves, but the visiting Warriors (3-7) lost on the road late Tuesday.

Washingtonville 8, New Paltz 0 — Visiting New Paltz dropped to 7-2 with the non-league loss late Tuesday.

Putnam Valley 3, Poughkeepsie 0 — The Pioneers lost late Tuesday to drop to 1-8. Poughkeepsie visits Haldane today.

Girls tennis

Jessica Schroedl, Katrina Ackerman and Taylor Perre each won singles matches as Roosevelt won an MHAL match on the road late Tuesday over Saugerties, 3-2.

Women’s volleyball

Mary Ann Raftery had 11 kills as host Mount Saint Mary swept Maritime, 25-11, 25-9, 25-4, late Tuesday.

Lauren Halverson contributed eight aces and 26 assists for Mount Saint Mary (14-7, 6-0 Skyline).
